Happy New Year to you all! I hope that you were all able to enjoy Christmas despite the restrictions that were imposed upon us at these times. We will miss you greatly during this term and can’t wait to see you return to school.
During lockdown and while schools are closed, our ambition is that all children will be able to engage with remote learning as best as they are able. During the first week we have been so proud to see so many pupils engaging with Google Classroom. We are here to support you, so please don’t hesitate to contact us.
We are hoping to post videos and carefully worded instructions to help make the work as easy to understand as possible.
We are starting a very exciting topic which covers plants, animals, and lifecycles.
Please click on the “Spring 1” link below to see our curriculum map.
Teachers will upload class work every day for pupils to complete in the following areas of learning:
- Topic Work
- A daily story
Teachers will hold a daily Google Meet at 10am for the whole class. If you wish to login and keep in contact with your friends and teacher feel free to attend.
The daily work can be found in the file under the day the work should be complete, e.g. ‘ednesday 13th January. When you have finished your work make sure you check it before clicking ‘turned-in.’
All work is reviewed and monitored by the class teacher and when needed feedback is given.
Teachers will allocate books on Bug Club for your child to read. Teachers can monitor when pupils have read and will be able to allocate more books when a pupil has reach the end of their allocation. Please encourage your child to read every day on Bug Club. The new school code is cwm9.
If you have any problems accessing the work please contact the Year group email firstname.lastname@example.org or write on the google class stream.
I hope that we will soon be able to return to some level of normality but until then, stay well.
